As mentioned in previous newsletters, ASIC penalties can be brutal, so just another reminder to ensure you pay the ASIC annual filing fees on time. The current annual fee is $254, and if paid up to 30 days late add $78 (31% penalty) or $323 in penalties if more than 30 days late (127% OF THE ORIGINAL FEE).
As ASIC issue the fee with more than 6 week’s notice, many clients put the invoices aside to pay later but often get overlooked, so my advice is just pay these as you receive them and don’t risk any penalties.
