Fergies for the Bush

Drought has decimated large swathes of western Queensland, having a severe impact on farmers and regional communities.
Nearly 80 per cent of Queensland has been declared in drought, the largest area ever recorded. Many Graziers are destocking after three failed wet seasons with the potential of years before they can expect to receive an income. The impact on businesses is immense with graziers, families and contractors being forced out of drought strickened regions, spending in the local economy has also dried up.
While donations of feed, food and other material items are appreciated in local communities, local businesses need cash to keep afloat and keep town economies ticking over.Rotary Clubs of District 9630 and the Lockyer Valley Regional Council launched a Drought Relief Appeal to give those in need a helping hand. Already, in excess of $100,000 has been raised and distributed throughout drought affected areas, by way of vouchers that can be used to purchase goods and services from local businesses. These businesses in turn are reimbursed by the funds raised in the appeal.
Many businesses are supporting Rotary in this initiative including Massey Ferguson. Etairos Accounting & Finance purchased our "Fergie for the Bush" and made an online donation.

Wont you please show your support and help Rotary help farmers and regional communities by donating too?
